Ignorant opinions runneth rampant. Take the recent health care reform proposals. What flummoxes me is that even (seemingly) intelligent and educated people are critiquing these proposed bills when they are too friggin' lazy to even READ THEM! I'd love to discuss the pros & cons of the various proposals if I could find someone who has actually read the documents and is not just spouting the hearsay they've gleaned from others' opinions, journalist accounts, political sound bites, Facebook memes, or cherry picked passages trumpeted by the documents' proponents/opponents. I have trouble respecting someone's opinion regarding a document when they can't even be bothered to read that document.
