Dead right

The current political and social climate is like nothing I've seen before. I'm firmly convinced that Trump could single-handedly cure cancer and he would still be an idiotic racist for failing to cure diabetes as well. To others, if Trump successfully spelled his own name correctly he's exalted to savior status. The melodramatic vindictiveness of the media and both left- and right-leaning folks has become monumental. The tunnel vision and steadfast missions of subversion are negating the possibility of affecting any positive change. If even a fraction of the energy spent on protestation and bitching were applied to a constructive instead of destructive goal, a beneficial change could be possible or at least an acceptable compromise achieved. Alas, the current fanaticism, butt-hurt feelings, and blind anger from both camps has become prohibitive of any positive outcome and even the possibility of compromise or cooperation has been lost. You may be right, but you can also be dead right. Nobody ever 'wins' a war--there are only degrees of losing.
